University InstitutesIn 2010 Glyndŵr University introduced a pioneering new system to ensure the quality and relevance of the courses we offer. A bold reshaping of our internal structure saw the replacement of the previous seven academic schools with the School for Undergraduate Studies and the Graduate School, which commission academic programmes from two University Institutes. These are the Institute for Arts, Science & Technology and the Institute for Health, Medical Sciences & Society. All of the University’s courses are subject to careful scrutiny and constantly updated to keep pace with a changing world. Our success is due to the fact that our courses provide exactly what employers are looking for. We achieve this through our close links with employers and professional bodies at local and national level. Project work is often based on actual situations and frequently involves working with a company to develop solutions to real commercial problems. Glyndŵr University also has a strong research and scholarship base, and this has a significant influence on our courses. It ensures that our academics keep up with the latest research and ideas in their field, and this in turn keeps our courses up to date and industry relevant. |
